Sultan Agung has to reunite all regents in Java as discord arises due to the VOC’s divide and conquer strategy. However, he faces betrayals as he prepares for an attack on Batavia. At the end of his life, Sultan Agung revived the hermitage where he studied, and preserved the traditions and cultural works of Mataram.
